Job Opportunity – Manager Environmental Compliance

We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead our Environmental Compliance initiatives at Yunus Textile Mills Limited. This role requires a forward-thinking individual with strong expertise in sustainability, compliance, and environmental management.

Location: Landhi, Karachi
Education: Graduation/Master’s in Environmental Sciences/Engineering or related field
Experience: Minimum 6 years in environmental compliance, sustainability, or related domain

Key Responsibilities:

• Run the squad like a boss—push ‘em to do better and actually care about their growth, not just the bottom line.
• Come up with sustainability game plans that aren’t just lip service, then get your hands dirty making ‘em happen.
• Make sure projects don’t just look good on paper—actually move the needle. Oh, and wrangle those customer portals so they don’t turn into a dumpster fire.
• Keep an eye on all the big sustainability numbers—energy, climate, water, waste, you name it—and don’t just track ‘em, actually move ‘em forward.
• Be the face of YTML when it comes to external stuff—so, yeah, you’ll be rubbing elbows with Net Zero folks, WWF, whoever, plus teaming up with NGOs and university nerds.
• Deal with auditors, customers, and random third parties poking around the sustainability stuff—make it look tight.
• Teach people what’s up, both inside the company and out. No boring lectures, please.
• Write up policies, fix the boring SOPs, and make presentations that don’t put people to sleep.
• Pull together the company’s Sustainability Report and make sure it actually says something.
• Find what’s missing, try out new ideas, and blow up the projects that are already working.
• Keep the company out of trouble with the environmental compliance folks, and don’t forget to give suppliers a leg up too.
• Squeeze costs where you can and get those shiny certifications everyone loves to brag about.
