Learning & Development Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Cook up learning programs that actually make sense for where the business is headed—none of that outdated textile theory, please—and keep an eye on what’s new in textile tech. Put together training material that covers everything from how to keep the machines happy to what the heck is going on with the latest fabric science trends. Don’t just sit in a bubble, either—chat with the folks on the ground (the tech crew, the subject nerds) so you know what training people actually need, not just what sounds good on paper.

   

•  Help people level up their skills—especially when it comes to the wild world of textile machinery and squeezing every ounce of efficiency out of the process.

   

• Oh, and don’t slack on the paperwork. Keep all those guides, SOPs, and online training docs up to date, so nobody’s running around asking for manuals written in 1997.

Education: MBA/MPA, M.Ed, MS in Psychology

Experience in L&D, preferably in technical or manufacturing settings

Skills:

• Knowledge of instructional design, learning principles, and technical training development
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
