Pakistan’s Car Sales Rise 67% in September 2025

Pakistan’s car industry seriously bounced back in September 2025—car sales shot up 67% compared to last year, and even compared to the previous month, they jumped 22%. That’s 17,174 cars rolling out, just in September, if you’re counting. (And yeah, the numbers are coming from PAMA, with Topline Research crunching them.)

Pakistan’s Car Sales Rise 67% in September 2025

Basically, people weren’t getting slammed as hard by interest rates or inflation, the economy finally chilled out a bit, and folks started feeling a little less freaked out about spending money on big stuff like cars. All that put together meant everybody started buying again, across the board.

Looking at the bigger picture: in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, car sales hit 42,267. That’s a wild 53% jump from the same time last year—when they only managed 27,585. Honestly, that’s not just a recovery, that’s a proper rally.

Honda and Suzuki Lead Market Growth

Honda Atlas Cars basically came out swinging—sales shot up a wild 82% compared to last year, and if you look at it month-to-month, they more than doubled. We’re talking 2,307 cars in September alone. The City and Civic were the real MVPs here, jumping 73% YoY and nearly tripling MoM, landing at 1,977 units. The BR-V and HR-V also had a pretty solid run, up two and a half times from last year (not too shabby), but actually slipped a bit compared to last month—down 12%, sitting at 330 units.

Pak Suzuki was right on their heels. They cranked out 8,997 units, which is up 79% from last year and 26% from the previous month. The Alto did especially well—up 50% YoY and 13% MoM—while the Cultus, Swift, and Ravi weren’t slacking either. Cultus sales exploded to more than seven times what they were last year, Swift doubled, and Ravi quadrupled. Seriously, pretty bonkers numbers all around.

Sazgar Engineering had a solid month too—up 73% YoY and 36% MoM, hitting 1,429 units, thanks in part to their shiny new Haval H6 PHEV. Hyundai Nishat? They managed a 56% YoY boost, even though sales dipped 3% from last month, ending up at 1,175 units. And Indus Motor? Up 33% YoY, but sales slid 7% MoM, closing out at 3,152 units. So yeah, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but mostly, the numbers are looking pretty damn strong.

Motorbikes, Tractors, and Heavy Vehicles

two- and three-wheeler sales basically went nuts—up 21% from last year and 7% from last month, landing at 158,941 units in September. That means, for the first quarter of FY26, they’ve pumped out a wild 432,000 units, which is 35% higher than last year. Atlas Honda? Yeah, they crushed it, selling a record-breaking 136,000 bikes (CD70s and the rest). They must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Meanwhile, tractors aren’t having nearly as much fun. Sales took a nosedive—down 27% year-on-year and 21% month-on-month, crawling to just 790 units. Floods and crappy farm economics are totally to blame there. But, weirdly enough, production numbers are still pretty solid at 2,077 units. Maybe the government’s tractor scheme is actually working behind the scenes? Guess we’ll see if things bounce back soon.

Now, trucks and buses? Absolute chaos—in a good way. Sales shot up 2.6 times compared to last year and 24% over last month, hitting 824 units. That’s the best they’ve done in, like, seven years. For the quarter, heavy vehicle sales hit 1,864 units, which is basically double what they managed last year. Not bad, right?
