Latest: Petrol price in Pakistan may drop from Oct 16, 2025
Prices pf petrol and diesel are expected to decline as global oil rates ease

Good news (for once) might be headed Pakistan’s way—looks like petrol prices could actually go down starting October 16, 2025. About time, right? Word is, petrol might get cheaper by Rs6.10 per litre, and diesel’s supposed to drop by a rupee. Not exactly a windfall, but hey, every bit counts.
the oil companies have done their number crunching and tossed the ball over to OGRA (y’know, the folks who love their paperwork). OGRA’s about to pass the summary along to the finance ministry, probably tomorrow unless someone loses the file under a stack of chai cups.
If all goes according to plan, kerosene could be down Rs2.75, and light diesel could shave off Rs1.64 per litre too. Not too shabby. Now, don’t go celebrating just yet—there’s always a catch. If the government decides it needs more cash and bumps up the petroleum levy or throws in extra sales tax, all these savings could vanish faster than your salary after Eid shopping.
Official prices drop after the announcement on the 16th. Maybe this time we actually catch a break at the pump.
